About the role

We’re looking for a Scouting Analyst (known internally as Positional Analyst). You will provide video analysis and occasional live game analysis for potential target players, with a focus on outfield positions, for first team and emerging talent players for future transfer activity. You’ll produce daily reports and evidence-based clips in line with the Recruitment strategy.

You will identify new potential target players, using expert knowledge and any available data, to ensure information is relayed quickly and key target players are placed into a dynamic workflow within the department.

Your impact

*       Previous experience within an elite sporting / football environment

*       Good knowledge of football with regards to game models, playing styles and profiles of technical, tactical, physical and psychological traits

*       You will have a good understanding of a player potential and performance, including with young emerging talent players

*       Experience of using various video software platforms (Wyscout, Hudl, Sportscode and Studio)

*       High attention to detail with the ability to work to strict deadlines

*       Willingness to work flexibly to meet the demands of the business

*       Working towards FA talent identification qualification

About the team 

You will work closely with the Lead Video Analyst, Head of Technical Scouting and Recruitment Operations Manager to provide actionable insights. The team takes an active approach in ensuring there is a collaborative culture within the department. With the role being remote, communication is at the forefront of priorities, enabling day to day impact and contribution towards the long-term recruitment department strategy.
